Vision Eternel (formerly Vision Éternel) is a melogaze band founded in January of 2007 by Alexandre Julien. Originally based in Edison, New Jersey, USA, Vision Eternel has been located in Montreal, Canada since August of 2007.
The band has released five extended plays: “Seul Dans L’obsession” (2007), “Un Automne En Solitude” (2008), “Abondance De Périls” (2010), “The Last Great Torch Song” (2012) and “Echoes From Forgotten Hearts” (2015); one compilation: “An Anthology Of Past Misfortunes” (2009); and one boxed set: “An Anthology Of Past Misfortunes” (2018). Vision Eternel is currently recording its sixth extended play, due out in 2019.
Vision Eternel blends together dark ambient, ethereal, dream pop, shoegaze, post-rock, drone, minimal and emo in it's own style called melogaze. Each release has a deeply-rooted emotional concept based on heartbreak and loneliness, with an atmospheric and cinematic mood.
