com.sound.field is a project born in Santiago, Chile, founded and composed by Iván Aguayo at the moment.
His project was born out of necessity to understand how natural soundscapes are being constantly moulded by human interaction and how this affect both the source and the listener. c.s.f also seeks to comprehend in which ways this dialogue can also help to shape other forms of art such as visual arts and short films, and how these are nurtured from this interplay.
com.sound.field relies heavily on, although not limited to, field recordings, which are subsequently processed and manipulated through varios methods such as tape emulation, 4-track recorder and guitar pedals, amongst others.
His track On the Entropy of Sound put emphasis on listening, chopping and modifying a number of properties from the subway ambience, recreating the eventual decay of the aforementioned soundscape.
